About this product

How the Potato Digger and Spinner works

The potato digger and spinner is a rear-mounted machine that hitches to the tractor's three-point linkage and runs from the PTO. It uproots the potatoes and separates them from the soil, helping a grower get through the harvest sooner and lose less of the crop.

Digging efficiency is up to 99%, and the machine covers about 0.1 hectare an hour. A tractor of at least 50 HP is needed. Rather than leaving the tubers buried or tangled in clods, it gives a clean row that is easy to collect.

Before you order, check that your tractor has at least 50 HP and a working three-point linkage and PTO. For best results dig when the soil is dry and the vines are dead or cut. Output is about 0.1 hectare an hour, and digging efficiency is up to 99% when set up well.

Before you buy the Potato Digger and Spinner

Where you grow several hectares of potatoes, the spinner makes harvesting much quicker, because the crop is laid out for pickers in a tidy line. Dig in dry soil, keep the speed steady and check that your tractor has at least 50 HP and a good linkage.
