About this product
How the Sand Flea Rake works
A perforated rake solves a simple problem: you want to remove stones, shells, roots or litter from loose ground without lifting the sand with them. The holes in the head let fine material fall back as you work, so the pile you carry away is only the rubbish.
The head is a broad triangular plate of steel with a pattern of holes and a lip that scoops the unwanted material. It rides lightly over the surface, so sandy paths, play areas and beach frontages can be cleaned in long, easy passes.
A long thin metal shaft with a rubber grip at the top lets you work standing upright, with no bending. The tool is light enough to carry around a large site, and plain enough that a rinse with fresh water is all the care it needs.
Before you buy the Sand Flea Rake
This perforated rake sifts loose material as you pull it, leaving the unwanted pieces behind. It is a clever tool for beaches, play areas, gravel paths and fine soil beds. For heavy or compacted ground you will want a rigid rake instead.
