About this product

How the Mortar Pan works

On small and medium jobs the mix is often made by hand, in a pan or on a board, rather than by a mixer. A shallow round pan gives you enough room to turn the material with a trowel or hoe, and lets you scoop it out easily when it is ready.

The pan is made of galvanised steel, which resists rust even when wet mortar sits in it, and is easy to wash down. The rim is rolled for strength and a smooth edge, and two handles on the sides make it possible to lift it and carry it to the work.

It is also used on farms and in gardens for mixing animal feed supplements, moving soil, carrying small stones, or as a general-purpose pan. We supply it in different diameters and depths, singly or in cartons, for hardware shops and contractors.

Before you buy the Mortar Pan

A mortar pan keeps your mix close to the work and stops it drying on the ground. Galvanised steel is tough and easy to clean. Choose a size that you can lift when it is full and consider two pans so one can be filled while the other is used.
