About this product
How the Crow Bar works
A crowbar is one of the oldest and most useful hand tools. It does not do anything complicated; it multiplies your force by using a long lever arm, so one person can move a slab, lift a pallet or pull a board off a frame.
One end is flattened into a chisel shape, which slides under loads and into cracks. The other end is bent and split into a claw that grips nail heads and pulls them out. The bar is forged from a single piece of steel with a black finish, strong enough not to bend under hard use.
It is used in demolition, on building sites, in farm workshops, for opening crates, for moving machinery a few centimetres, and for shifting rocks in a field. Always use it on firm ground, keep your feet clear of the load, and wear gloves and eye protection.
Before you buy the Crow Bar
A crowbar is a lever, so a longer bar gives more force with less effort. It is useful for lifting slabs, opening crates, pulling nails and light demolition. Keep a fulcrum block handy and wear gloves and eye protection.
