How the Potato Planter with Washer works
This is a dual-purpose machine for potato growers. As it plants seed potatoes at the right spacing and depth, it sprays fertiliser or pesticide along the row, so the young crop is protected from the start and the field is only crossed once.
Two to four rows can be set, with row spacing adjustable up to 28 inches. Seed drops automatically from a hopper of up to 300 kg, while a PTO-driven washer with adjustable nozzles draws on a 200–400 L tank. Depth can be adjusted by hand or hydraulically, an integrated fertiliser box is optional, and the machine covers about 5–8 acres a day with tractors of 50–75 HP.
