About this product

How the Multi-Crop Seed Drill works

A multi-crop seed drill sows and fertilises at the same time, so the field is covered in one trip rather than two. Placing seed and fertiliser together in a single pass saves fuel and time, and it gives more even results than broadcasting by hand.

The hopper holds roughly 80 to 100 kg of seed, and the drilling depth can be set between 50 and 100 mm to suit the crop. Send us the crop and the row spacing you need and we will confirm the working width and tractor power for the current model.

Calibrate the drill before the season: sow over a measured distance, weigh what came out and adjust the rate until it matches your target. Match the drilling depth, which can be set between 50 and 100 mm, to the seed size, and keep the hopper topped up so seed does not run short mid-row.

Before you buy the Multi-Crop Seed Drill

A seed drill gives even depth and spacing that broadcasting cannot match. Because it can seed and fertilise together, it saves a pass and keeps nutrients close to the roots. Check the seed capacity against the size of your fields, so you are not stopping to refill every few minutes.
