About this product
How the Fodder Cutter works
The fodder cutter has been working in the field for years and is proven and rugged. It takes its drive from the tractor's PTO at 540 rpm and passes the power through a pulley and gear system, spinning the cutting head at over 2,000 rpm so it can cut down fodder crops cleanly.
A skilled driver can clear an acre of crop in about 35 to 45 minutes. The machine cuts the manpower needed, makes the work easier and improves efficiency. Ask us for the working width and tractor power of the current model.
The cutter runs from the tractor PTO at 540 rpm and spins its head faster through a pulley and gear system, so keep guards fitted and stay clear while it runs. A skilled operator clears an acre in about 35–45 minutes. Sharpen or replace blades before the season starts.
Before you buy the Fodder Cutter
A tractor-driven cutter covers about an acre in 35 to 45 minutes, which is a great saving over cutting by hand. It suits farms that feed green fodder to cattle every day. Make sure your tractor can supply 540 rpm at the PTO and that the guard is in place.
