About this product
How the Pruning Saw works
When a branch is thicker than shears or loppers can manage, the saw takes over. A good pruning saw cuts cleanly on the pull stroke, so you can work overhead or in a crowded tree without needing much room to swing.
The blade is curved so the teeth meet the wood at a favourable angle and keep contact with it as you saw. The teeth are long and coarse, which clears the cut quickly, and they are hardened so they stay sharp through a whole season of pruning.
The handle is orange and black, with a hook at the end that keeps the saw secure in the hand. The tool is slim enough to carry in a holster, and it is the natural partner of loppers and bypass shears in an orchard kit.
Before you buy the Pruning Saw
When branches become too thick for shears, a curved pruning saw cuts them quickly with little effort. It is the right tool for fruit trees, hedges and general orchard work. Choose a blade length that lets you reach into the tree without climbing too high.
