About this product
How the Farm Trailer, 5 and 10 Ton works
A farm trailer is a tractor-towed, unpowered vehicle used across farming and construction to carry harvested crops, implements, dirt, gravel, stones and other loads from place to place. This heavy-duty single-axle trailer comes in two models, with capacities of 5 and 10 tons.
The first model (5 ton) is 11 × 6.5 × 2.25 ft, works with tractors of 40–50 HP, weighs 1,000 kg and has two tyres. The second (10 ton) is 11 × 7 × 2.25 ft, suits 60–85 HP, weighs 1,400 kg and has four 8.25–20 tyres. Both use 12-gauge bed and side sheet, a 4-1/2 × 3/8 in axle and a 7 × 3 in frame channel.
Choose the 5-ton model with a 40–50 HP tractor or the 10-ton model with 60–85 HP, and never load beyond the rated capacity. Check tyre pressures and the axle regularly, especially with full loads on rough ground. Ask us if you want a different size, because many options can be customised.
Before you buy the Farm Trailer, 5 and 10 Ton
These trailers come in two capacities, so you can match the size to the work and to the tractor you have. A 5 ton model suits most small and mid-size farms, while the 10 ton version is meant for heavier hauling. Think about tyres, brakes and road use before ordering.
