About this product
How the Soil Testing Kit works
Fertiliser is a major cost, and applying it blind wastes money and can harm the crop and the environment. A soil testing kit lets you measure what is actually in the soil, so you feed only what is missing.
The kit comes in a black hard case with foam compartments that protect everything in the field. Inside you find a handheld digital meter, vials of colour reagents, test tubes and accessories. The reagents change colour in proportion to the nutrient level, and the meter reads values such as pH.
Agronomists, consultants, farm managers and training colleges use kits like this to screen fields quickly and to teach soil science. Results are indicative; for formal recommendations send samples to an accredited laboratory. We confirm which tests are included in the kit before you order.
Before you buy the Soil Testing Kit
A field kit gives you answers on the spot, so you can adjust before the season is lost. Take samples from several places and depths, and mix them before testing. For formal fertiliser plans, confirm the results with a laboratory.
